From the gem of a book Delaware’s Buried Past: A Story of Archeological Adventure by C. A. Weslager this sentence captured my attention. “Shad and herring raced up the rivers by the millions in the spring of the year to spawn, although now the contamination of the streams has interfered with this annual cycle.”
I used raced for movement and time for time in the challenge. I learned a beautiful word anadromous which refers to a fish that spends all but its spawning time in salt water.
Very nice haiku and I learnt a new word and it sounds so nice too. Thank you.
