I hope that I captured a bit of the struggle that accompanies the knowledge that one’s gender assignment is not what one is. To be happy with one’s self is a life’s work for most of us humans.
A long time ago I thought I would become a chemist! I have been in the world of science throughout my years. I think writing and particularly haiku and its forms are like chemistry. They are a distillate of a larger mass and require some technique and work to arrive there. I am a chemist/poet.
