A long time ago I thought I would become a chemist! I have been in the world of science throughout my years. I think writing and particularly haiku and its forms are like chemistry. They are a distillate of a larger mass and require some technique and work to arrive there. I am a chemist/poet.

No prompt this time. I wanted to record this indelible memory. I was at a a small mediation pond sitting for a while when I spotted the motionless camouflaged green heron. I continued to watch and saw her spear a large bull frog and proceed to swallow it! Truly amazing.
