Canyon #2, Haiku, a poem

Canyon
Ancient layers,
Icing of virginal snow,
Eons stretch between.

Canyon #1

Canyon #1
Alone in wonder
Distant beams root deep within
today’s white carpet.

Always hope

Always hope
Brown, drab, unless storms
deliver flakes, drops, manna
for green tomorrows.

Charmer
Gambel’s Quail gambol,
sport envious topknots,
charm desert dwellers.

Desert sound, a haiku poem

A distant cooing
“who cooks for you?” gently floats
from a white-winged dove.

Citrus homage, a haiku poem

Sweet smell of blossoms
Tangelo, grapefruit, lemon
Plump fruit yields its juice

a perishing soul.
